Apr 12 New Antenna Project at AWR

Work on the new antenna project is really ramping up now that all the permits have been acquired for the replacement tower and antenna.

The guys from South Africa have been assembling the new tower sections this week.

Yesterday Sammy and I took down the transformer to the slew switch to make more room for the equipment.

Here it is on the ground.

The stake in the foreground is the location of the new tower to replace tower 1.  In the background Brook is digging an anchor hole with the backhoe.

Using the transit to measure the precise location of the anchors

Existing tower 1 will be taken down after the antenna comes down

Ben chewing up and mulching trees and vegetation.  I've never seen a machine like this before.

  1. Praise God that all the red tape was cut soon enough that the new tower will be up shortly. Now many, many people won't have to wait to hear God's message of love! I am soooo excited! Please keep us posted.
Yes that surely is a different machine.
