Dec 11 - Shark's Pit

Gordon took us out to Shark's Pit - a site where the Navy used to dump a bunch of junk.  There aren't any sharks anymore, but the a lot of the junk is interesting.  This was also Kristi's first dive to try out her new camera housing!

At Home

The kitchen faucet was leaking badly and in need of repair, so I finally got around to replacing it last Sunday.

Thanksgiving

We had a busy Thanksgiving.  It started out at 4:15 when we got up to run the Turkey trot, a four mile run put on by the Guam Running Club each year.  It was different because the starting time was staggered and the faster runners started later.  The first ten finishers were rewarded with a turkey.  I think Kristi finished 11th, but we were glad not to get a turkey.  After the run we were able to do something that most people can't do on Thanksgiving day: go diving in nice warm water!  We joined a big group for a shore dive in the harbor.  It was different diving with so many people, but it was fun.  Here everyone is getting ready to go.

After the dive we drove to AWR and had lunch at the Garner's.

Nov 10- Piti Channel Night Dive

We met with several friends on a full-moon night for some different kind of diving. The animals seem to act differently- usually easier to approach- than during the day.

Oct 23- Guam SDA Clinic Fun Run

Although we haven't been running regularly, we participated in the clinic's fundraising race- a 5K. Max finished in about 27:00 and Kristi in about 28:00. She placed 3rd in her age category (which was unexpected). There was a turnout of about 700 people! Good times.

Oct 21- Max's first hair cut on Guam

The big deal is that Kristi cut his hair, not a certified hair dresser!

Our place

Here are some pics of our apartment (feels more like a house).We live on the 2nd floor. The balcony is facing the ocean but you can only barely see the water due to the trees.

 Below the balcony is a 2 car (if you park nose to tail) carport, stairs coming up and curving around. The porch wraps all the way around but the front is the widest area. Toby is enjoying being outside in this pic.

 This is looking down the driveway toward the road and ocean. There's another house between us and the road.

When you come in the front door, the living room is on your left, kitchen and dining room on the right and straight ahead is a hallway that leads to the bedrooms. There were 2 extra couches and the bookshelves left at the apartment, so we put them to good use!

 One of Max's friends in Ukiah made us the quilt!
