Climbing Tower 6

I finally got around to taking my camera climbing.  Today we were about halfway up tower 6 replacing a rusty cable and plate for one of the counterweight guides.

Higher than the helicopter

Not the easiest place to work in the world

  2. Oh, Max. That second pic did something to the pit of my stomach! I clicked on it to enlarge it just to make sure. Yep, that's a long way down....You are a LOT higher than the helicopter....Laying down on the job? (Sorry that just popped into my head.) Well it isn't my son-in-law.....Is laying down easier than standing? How much does the tower sway?

  3. It wasn't as high as I was working on before. Unfortunately I haven't been to the top of the towers yet this time around. Standing on a level surface while working on the towers is both rare and convenient, but you do what you have to do to reach where you're working on. The tower sways some but not too much to worry about.

  4. Glad that the tower doesn't sway much...And as for your body position I assumed you were usually standing...Sounds funny-Unfortunately I haven't been to the top this time. So glad you aren't afraid of heights...A friend asked if you were tethered in I answered I truly hope so!
